2019 Anglers

Todd McKellar & Bart Crader

Todd McKellar

Born: Alexandria, Louisiana

My passion for fishing began to really take hold when I was about fifteen. I headed over to Toledo Bend every weekend as soon as I was old enough to drive. And, like many others, it was my dad, Prentice, who planted the fishing/outdoors seed in my soul.

I live in Lake Charles, LA and own my own business – Empire Dirtworks and Construction. When I’m not working I am usually somewhere in the outdoors fishing or hunting. I am an avid bow hunter and have hunted all over, chasing whitetail, black bear, elk, antelope, caribou, following my dream of completing North American Grand Slam.

My professional angling career was influenced by Cajun Phil Broussard and Kevin Broussard. Thanks to them I developed the passion and work ethic on the water to be successful in competition.

Bart Crader

Born : Lake Charles, Louisiana

From: Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

I have had a passion for fishing and sports from the time I could walk. In my early years I enjoyed spending time on Big Lake with my father, Wayne, chasing redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. Growing up, my family relocated several times following career advancement opportunities presented to my father, but our hearts always remained in South Louisiana.

Through hard work and God’s blessings I was able to return to Lake Charles on a football scholarship. This truly proved to be a blessing as it brought me closer to family, provided me with a wonderful opportunity to further my education, an opportunity to play collegiate football at a high level, and an opportunity to frequent the waters I love to fish.

The blessings have continued as I have now found the world of tournament angling, a perfect endeavor to fuel my competitive nature and love for fishing. When I am not fishing, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, working out, and playing sports.
